Her dance pieces inhabit surreal moving images and have been performed in Germany and internationally - often together with the dance collective Quizzical Körper. Her most recent production "transformater" premiered at the end of March 2023. Her artistic development is deeply influenced by her regular practice and performance of Instant Composition. In recent years, she has specialized in accompanying and choreographically supporting students and professional dancers in the creation of their pieces. Her teaching work focuses on the anatomy of the human body as well as the refinement of sensory perception and its stimulation. In addition, her classes are influenced by floor technique, body mind centering and dance improvisation. She co-curates the format tanzwuchs in Freiburg and the onCe Festival. Since September 2021 she is the co-director of the VOCATIONAL TRAINING and CONTINUING EDUCATION bewegungs-art freiburg.

In her teaching she draws from decades of research in dance, improvisation and performance. Her interest is exclusively in artistic processes. After receiving her BA in Anthropology (Smith College, USA), she returned to dance in 2013.
She studied and worked in New York, Spain and Germany, and graduated from bewegungs-art - centre for Dance, Improvisation and Performance (2017 Freiburg). She is co-founder of Quizzical Körper – a dance theater collective focused on improvisation, performing in Germany and abroad.
Her choreographic work (new website – www.rebecca-mary.com) is characterized by her interest in the expressive potential of the body in relation to space and sound, as well as how to create a sensory resonance with the audience.
In her classes, she imparts a deep, anatomical understanding combined with precise movement patterns. She blends the boundaries between technique and improvisation/exploration to open a space where dancers experience different movement principles to learn to move with grace, ease, and expressivity.

My interest in dance started from a very young age studying different forms of dance such as ballet, modern-jazz, hip hop and Afro dance. My education then continues with ballet and contemporary dance studying at BTT(Turin) and Dancehouse (Milan).
In 2013 I took part in the two-year professional course Agora Coating Project(Reggio Emilia) performing works by various choreographers on the European scene and enriching my artistic “baggage” with other techniques such as floor work, acrobatics and contact. Since 2015 I have been working as a freelance dancer and teaching contemporary dance for various levels.
I would define my language as very multifaceted, a contaminated mix of styles from different backgrounds.
After a three-year training program at the Freiburg Academy of Dance, Jonas Onny studied contemporary and modern dance for another four years at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, where he deepened his knowledge of various dance techniques and further developed his own style. He has worked for years in the independent scene as well as at various theatres and has been seen in pieces by numerous renowned choreographers.
Jonas works with modern and contemporary dance techniques with influences from West African dance: rhythm and dynamics, from the floor to standing and back to the floor are cornerstones and core content of the lessons.
GUEST TEACHERS
Based in Europe since 2004. For over 18 years she has been creating independent work; from solo to extended group pieces, which she presents all over Europe and worldwide. In 2011 Maya formed The Instrument with her partner, composer / musician Roy Carroll. Collaboratively they create work that is unflinchingly sensual, characterised by an almost molecular tactility that collides with a fantasy-like vitality. In her work Maya expresses human conditions intimately and universally; seeking a deeper connection to the (mystery / reality of) self, other/s and to nature. Working independently as well as being commissioned to create pieces for state theaters, independent ensembles and dance academies, Maya leads master classes and workshops in Europe and abroad, extensively developing her teaching alongside her artistic work; drawn from and towards the limitless expression of the dancing body.
Smadar Goshen is an Israeli free lance dancer and choreographer based in Stuttgart. She is a certified Gaga teacher as well as a Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Pre-Trainer.
She brings a long term experience of body and movement research and weaves her knowledge in her practice and creation.
Using the Gaga language, Smadar teaches how to access a wide range of movement qualities while practicing familiar technique dancing skills and clear form.
Through specifying movement qualities, she guides the participants to define their movement language. They will learn to observe the qualities the body offers and to create set movement material inspired by those qualities.
Mileen is a dancer & performer, poet and dance teacher. Some years after her master in social work & pedagogics (University of Ghent), she graduated in 2011 at TIP, school of dance, improvisation and performance in Freiburg (DE), which nourished and deepened her love for instant composition, contact improvisation and the many layered world of our moving and poetic body.
Along the way Mileen as well fell in love with teaching. She completed a degree in art education and has been deepening her practice for many years teaching and performing nationally and internationally. Since 2012 Mileen coordinates and teaches the dance classes at WISPER, a leading organization for art education for adults in Belgium. Since 2013, she regularly initiates and teaches CI classes and jams in Ghent (BE), which has developed into a beautiful young and growing community. Since 2013 she is part of the Belgium based artistic collaboration POST.TRAUM.Collective.
In her teaching Mileen is passionate about supporting a space, a container where people can grow in their (body) awareness. She values a profound as well as playful approach to empower people to unleash their movement potential, and their multi-layered physical and artistic expression.
After his dance training in France, Jonathan has been teaching and performing throughout Europe since 2011. He works within the framework of PLAY, led by French American choreographer Michèle Murray, and since 2017 with Sita Ostheimer as a performer and rehearsal director.
The main focus of his week as a guest at the school is to give the performers the opportunity to express their own selves in a very complex and precise frame, where movement, musicality and group awareness merge together.
Since a decade she has been working with body, mind & movement through somatic approaches (BMC, experiential anatomy, qigong) hich has shaped her empirical body and perception of dance, as well as instant composition and improvisation as art form. Her classes are taught internationally and at festivals (Berlin, Thailand, India, Netherlands, Spain). In 2017 she completed her training at TIP - Center for Dance, Improvisation and Performance, and since then she has been working as a freelance performer and is currently doing a Feldenkrais training.
As an artist, she is driven by the bursts of infinite beginnings that live in urgent spontaneity. She is fascinated by the speed of light between a human cell and stardust. Using the vehicle of the body and the guidance of her inner vision, she moves through the rhythms of life, creating imaginative parallel realities. Her classes provide a ground for the students to be reminded of the intelligence of their own body and moves from subtle to dynamic. In her classes, Sarantoula makes a proposal to study the forces of attraction within the anatomical body - in space and with each other, with mindfulness and presence. Classes use touch, imagery and guided movement, all within the context of contact and improvisation.

Shared Levitation is a platform for performance and training in Contemporary Dance and Partnering. It is founded by Marion Sparber and Alan Fuentes Guerra. Shared Levitation Partnering is based on the principles of action – reaction and wants to liberate us from aesthetics of dance and instead enhance playfulness and functionality: an easy way to get excited again and again and to draw out the inner child.
Partnering is a danced relationship based on communication. Especially from the difficult situations we learn to act as a team, to adapt and to communicate our own needs better and understand the universe of the other. A true enrichment – not only as a form of dance, but also as a social experience.
